JiST

JiST (Java in Simulated Time) is an event based simulation engine written in the Java programming language.

It has been developed by Rimon Barr at Cornell University. The project web site can be found at http://jist.ece.cornell.edu/.

Some important features of JiST:

  • event based
  • simulations are completely described with the Java programming language
  • low memory usage, allowing big simulations
  • high event throughput

The Swans? network simulator runs on top of it.
